Mary Campbell of Hendersonville, TN, passed away after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Tom Campbell, son Jefferson Campbell, brothers Randy and Dale Kurtenbach, sister Shirley Hoessel, and stepdaughter Tina Behrends. She is preceded in death by mother Elaine, father Arthur, and sister Carlene. 

 

Mary was born and raised in Columbus, NE, to parents Arthur and Elaine Kurtenbach and attended Scotus Catholic High School. She married Tom Campbell in 1973 and moved to Hendersonville to support his goal of a career in music. While raising her son Jeff, she began working at Busy Bee Printing in Hendersonville as a front desk clerk, eventually taking over operations of the business for over 25 years. Known throughout Hendersonville as “Mary from Busy Bee”, she happily served her clientele by building personal and professional relationships. She was an avid member of the Band of Gold boosters at Hendersonville High School where Jeff performed with the band, and supported Tom by attending his shows and gigs throughout the Nashville metro. As a devout Roman Catholic, Mary became heavily involved in the community at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, and devoted her time after retirement to serving her faith. Mary enjoyed friends, family, and Husker football. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and dedicated friend who will be remembered and missed by all. 

 

Visitation and Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00PM.
