Hilda Moreno Newby

Hilda Newby, 56, departed this life on August 29, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of the Norwood Church of Christ. She was a nurse practitioner who was always ready to help anyone with their medical issues. She was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico in 1964 and moved to Tennessee in 1990.

She is survived by her parents Maria Munoz and Gerrardo Moreno, loving husband of 25 years Michael Newby. Also survived by her brother Gerrardo Moreno Jr (Judith), Sister Rosa Hanson (Gartz), daughters Luz Noyola and Eileen Kirkham (Lucas). Step-daughters Erin Carney (Craig) and Kristin Pratt (Justin). Her beloved grandchildren Jaya Kirkham, Isabelle Nanney, Edgar Higdon, Billy Pratt, Noah and Adam Carney. Nieces and nephews Martin Hanson, Mateo Hanson, Kevin Moreno and Kaylee Moreno.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday September 5th at The Norwood Church of Christ. Services will begin at 3pm. Brother Bob Cowles officiating.
