Anna Lynn Harris

August 29, 1951 — May 10, 2022

Anna Lynn Harris, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on May 10, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Lynn was born on August 29, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended East Tennessee State University and graduated in 1973 with a B.A. in English and History. An antique dealer for over 20 years, she also worked as a manager and event planner at Gaslamp Antique Mall.

As a member of a military family, Lynn moved around frequently, and lived in many U.S. states and the country of Malta. She eventually made her home in Nashville with her husband, where they raised their son and beloved dog. Lynn was an active volunteer for science fiction conventions for many years, and made many dear lifelong friends through the science fiction fandom community.

Lynn is survived by her husband, John Harris; her son, Ian Harris (April Jackson); her stepmother, Barbara Ann Dalton; her sister, Joyce Mullins (Randy); her brother, Craig Dalton (Renée); her step-sister, Lisa McDavid (Bill);  her brother-in-laws, Roger Harris (Olga) and Kyle Harris; her sister-in-law, Patsy Harris; and her nieces and nephews: Josh Mullins (Julie), April Harris, Julia Mortyakova, Emma Greene, Chris and Ashley Mullins and their children Scarlett and Skyler, and Adrianne Clemons and her children Camryn and Jaxon. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and Jack Dalton; her in-laws, Olen and Dorothy Harris; and her brother-in-law, James Harris.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in Lynn’s name to Doctors Without Borders or the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville, Tennessee.
